Did you catch us at this month’s Ask Digital? We were on hand to give a range of digital advice to local businesses, organisations and charities looking to grow their brand online.
The questions came thick and fast: how do I get found on Google? How do I find out who my audience is? How do I reduce the drop-off and bounce rate on my website pages? (Always look to your page load speed as an obvious starting point here).
Amongst the team, the build-up to Ask Digital, our free digital drop-in clinic, has been filled with excitement and the day was better than we’d hoped. It was great to be able to provide some of the answers that were troubling you over a chat and a relaxed cup of coffee – and the Bookcafé were the perfect hosts for our Monday morning session.
Turn-out was larger than expected, but the team rallied to make sure we managed to get around all the faces – and it was a great feeling to know that all the attendees had taken the time out of their day to come down and have a chat.
We learnt something too. We’re always interested to find out more about our audiences’ biggest challenges, and there were a few recurring themes that came out of Ask Digital. A lot of organisations struggle with engagement on their social media, which is why we’ll soon be posting a dedicated blog series to increasing engagement online. Many people we spoke to wanted advice on conversation optimisation – an often-overlooked practice involving split-testing even the tiniest details on your site to increase conversions.
It was great to sit with a variety of organisations and hear more about their back stories – we’re always happy to see growth in Derby and watch the success of start-ups as time goes on.
And if you missed us, don’t worry – based on the success of the first event we’re holding another Ask Digital next month – Monday 7th August: same time, same place.
All local organisations are invited – whether you’re a start-up, charity, blue chip company, freelancer…anyone is welcome to come down and ask our consultancy on a range of topics, including PPC, Social Media, Web Hosting, Web Design, PR, SEO, Affiliate Marketing and more.
Simply turn up, there’s no need to book. But if you register on the Eventbrite below, we’ll grab you a drink of your choice.
