Bizzy Kidz Brand New Website

Summary

Bizzy Kidz is a large and vibrant nursery for families based near the two Bizzy Kidz sites in Derby and Beeston. The nursery first opened in 2005 by a local and highly experience childcare professional and caters for babies and children from 3 months – 14 years old. Known and valued for its personal tailor-made childcare, Bizzy Kidz always ensures flexible, affordable and quality child-care whilst fuelling the creation of busy minds in the children who attend nursery.

The Task

The Bizzy Kidz website had become tired and needed a completely new design to keep the website up-to-date for time-strapped parents. Customers were beginning to comment on the general UX (user experience) of the site, so our task was to give Bizzy Kidz a full makeover using their current branding to meet the expectations of busy, modern parents.

The New Website

Our designers set to work adding fresh new colours to the site, with the predominant focus on the cartoon stick figures that feature heavily on the nursery building’s exterior buildings and marketing collateral. The cartoons are laced through the site on the page backgrounds and subtly animate when scrolling down the page which adds a nice touch to a very bright and friendly design.

Clear and strategically placed call to actions are important for any website, so we placed Bizzy Kidz’ CTAs right above the menu navigation in a magenta pink to ensure that parents instantly knew where to go to book a visit or log into the webcam to check on their child.

The circular ‘bubble’ themed shapes used around the site’s images and for icons, give a soft feel and work particularly well on the team page images that change from normal smiles to funny faces when hovered over.

Soft blues and pastel pink hues offer an innocent but fun look and feel when combined with some beautiful shots of key personnel, meals, activities and children having fun.

The hero area is such an integral part of any website because it’s the first thing the user sees when they land and begin their scrolling. The Bizzy Kidz hero area contains some key Bizzy Kidz USPs, or unique selling points, and colourful imagery to really capture the interest and eyes of a parent looking for the best nursery for their children.

In addition, reviews are increasingly important to any modern customer, particularly for parents looking for a safe haven for their children whilst they’re at work. A dedicated ‘reviews’ page really enhances the nursery’s appeal because it sets in stone the thoughts and opinions of existing customers and supports the overall Bizzy Kidz’ offering that is communicated so well under the Our Approach page.

The Bizzy Kidz team wanted to ensure they were selling both nursery sites, so each nursery has a tailor-made page that begins with a welcome message and photo from the nursery manager. This message is also enhanced with the inclusion of a Beeston and Derby promotional video which is a huge selling point for any parent. What better way for parents to get a real inside peek of the nursery’s facilities and culture than watching it all on film.
