Now, we at Fifteen Design are all about getting the job done and taking our jobs very seriously, but once in a while a silly opportunity arises that you just can’t ignore!
The good people at The Drum launched a competition last week which called upon creatives everywhere to produce an advert for their ‘Fauxlympics’.
The aim of the competition is to poke a little bit of fun at the Olympic ‘brand police’ that are cracking down on small businesses capitalising on the games’ popularity. It also highlights what kind of advertising breaks the rules and what would get away with it! In general we think it is a good branding guideline exercise that we could have a bit of fun with!
The competition covers several categories, including ‘The Sprint’ (Guerrilla ads that would be taken down faster than Usain Bolt can run 100 metres) which we think our advert probably would come under!
So what did we come up with? Well, our office was pretty split in opinion after the Olympics opening ceremony on Friday night so we thought that we would cover the issue of the NHS being part of the £27million spectacle! and here it is…
