The new map card feature is a welcome addition to Facebook’s local adverts.

The map card is a pop-up extension of your existing Facebook advert, which contains all your vital location information in one handy digital card. This includes a map pin for your business location, the distance to your company, opening hours, and a link to get directions.

Previously a local add only contained a button to get directions, pulling the user out of the Facebook app and into Maps.
