Earlier on in the year Fifteen Design were invited to tender for a project with the Workers’ Education Association. The WEA are the UK’s largest voluntary-sector provider of adult education.
We presented ourselves to the East Midlands district of the WEA to produce 7 prospectus’s over Nottingham, Derby, Lincolnshire and more. The prospectus’s cover the years worth of courses on every subject from the spanish language to flower arranging. Our proposal and creative skills really impressed the team at WEA and we were successful in our tender.
We set to work on a comprehensive schedule so we could deliver the best to the WEA and in plenty time to get their publications distributed. Meanwhile our creative team were working on a great design that would carry throughout the set of prospectus’s. Using new photography that the WEA commissioned we came up with a dynamic cover design that really shows what the WEA is about (diverse learning) and showcases the variety of courses they cover. Along with our colour coding between different areas we were onto a winner!
As the days of putting the prospectus’s together were coming to a close our team were really intrigued by the scope of courses offered by the WEA. Our favourite in particular being titled ‘The only way is ethics!’
After several weeks working together with the WEA we completed the brochures within the schedule and they were sent to print!
They are printed on a lovely uncoated recycled paper, FSC accredited, which reflects the WEA’s ethics. We’re really pleased with the outcome and the lovely comments from WEA learners have also been sent through to us at Fifteen Design since the booklets have been delivered.
Rick Marshall from the WEA was kind enough to send us this comment:
“I have just had a call from one of our learners who wanted to congratulate us on the production of the new brochure. He particularly wanted to praise the layout and style but thought that the brochure overall was exceptional and very professional. He asked me to pass on his comments and a his congratulations to all involved.”
