Branding experts Fifteen Design have been up to their old tricks again by producing stunning branding work for paper and tissue manufacturers Alliance Paper.
Having worked with the Wolverhampton based company in the past, designing some packaging for their new range of tissues, the guys at Alliance had no hesitation on calling on Fifteen Design to rebrand the dated looking logo.
The task was given to new boy Darren as an opportunity to really get his teeth into a branding exercise with very little or no brief. Darren immediately began sketching furiously and after a few hours was able to produce the first round draft of designs before whisking them off to Alliance to have a look at.
Having already worked with Alliance before proved to be a huge advantage. The initial twelve concept ideas were very quickly dwindled down to four with an a common device being used to support the typeface which meant that we were getting closer to the final design. A few round later and we were down to the final two.
We wanted to design something modern but wouldn’t look dated in a few years time and that communicated what Alliance Paper do in a simple way yet affective way.
Having played around with the two designs and another couple of fonts, the client decided on this one:
As you can see, the two “rolls of paper” in the blue really stand out in white but the logo also has versatility to be used in black on white or reversed out. The two rolls also signified the fact that Alliance make Paper and tissue.
We are really pleased with Darrens work on this brand and know that there will be many many more logos coming from both Darren and the rest of the team at Fifteen Design – In fact Alliance Paper and Tissue have already commissioned us to start working on several more rebrands for the rest of their ranges so watch this space for more progress updates over the next few weeks.
