It’s always great working with start-up businesses, and it was a pleasure working alongside Scale Arts for the start of this journey.
About Scale Arts
Scale Arts are a start-up company, who are based in Leicestershire, their aim is to help local artists display their work to a wider network, and allow potential buyers the ability to purchase original pieces or prints of the work on display through the website.
As a start-up company, the main aim for Scale Arts was to create a brand and a website that could grow with the business, the team were very keen to have their business displayed in a certain way, taking inspiration from their heritage and family history. They approached Fifteen to assist them with the creation of a simple but effective brand, and a fully functioning e-commerce website, that is easy to maintain and update as time moves forward.
Taking inspiration from paint brushes and the culture surrounding the project, the design team got to work on producing a range of brand concepts, and narrowing it down to the one you see today. The colour scheme used is very neutral with a bold purple to add depth and warmth to the brand, it was important to Scale Arts that the brand could be used across multiple channels (including box packaging and stickers), so were keen for something simple and modern.
Understanding the clients requirements was key on this project, as they wanted to be able to sell multiple artist’s work through the website, and to be able to filter accordingly. Imagery is key throughout the website, and the use of large bold images helps bring the site to life.
The website is fully responsive, and uses woocommerce to provide the shop functionality, user-journey through the website always focuses on bringing people through to the shop page, with the encouragement to check out or contact the team at Scales Art for more information.
