IKCA wins The Good Web Guide’s Charity Website of the Year 2015

We are delighted to share the news that our website project for the Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) has been named as the Charity Website of the Year 2015 at The Good Web Guide (GWG) Awards.

The award ceremony took place on Monday 16th November 2015 at the very grand Royal Institute of Great Britain in London. Hosted by Arabella Dymoke, MD of the GWG, there was also a talk from the Sam Crocker, digital director of award sponsors, the mission™, who spoke about the awards and the digital world. Nick Hungerford, co-founder of Nutmeg, last year’s GWG winner, went on to present the prizes.

At last year’s awards we entered two of our client websites, both of which were Highly Commended so it was great to go one step further this year and join the shortlist for the Charity category. The competition was tough featuring household brand ‘Sport Relief’ and the lesser known but equally as deserving ‘Visit Nunney’, but the IKCA website pipped them to the post and took home the prize.

The judges selected the winning websites for their originality and high engagement levels through a unique concept or an outstanding user experience. One of the judges comments about the IKCA website stated “IKCA’s website is both stylish and functional – it’s easy to navigate to find out more and it’s super easy to donate to support the charity.” Justine Roberts, co-founder of Mumsnet.
