Friday the 20th of May saw the Love Business Expo take over the Jurys Inn in Hinckley, Leicester. With over 30 small to medium sized businesses showcasing their diverse range of expertise and skill sets, sponsored and supported by none other than the East Midlands Chamber.
After an early start and coffees all round, the Fifteen team pulled up into the designated car park within the hotel. Unloading what can only be described as everything but the kitchen sink, Kate, Sophie and Chanelle had finally made it.
The next challenge was the 7ft display, put together by three 5ft staff… impossible you say? Not quite, thanks to Sophie’s quick thinking and more importantly the introduction of her portable step; an accessory that initially tickled some of the fellow standee’s.
After 20 minutes of intense wrestling between equipment and personnel the stand was up, the roller banners were hooked and the sweet jar (Bribe box) was filled. For the next 5 hours a steady influx of business owners, savvy entrepreneurs and hardcore networkers perused themselves around the event.
The Fifteen offering and of course, the fluoro Green stand, proved to be a hit. Everyone was thoroughly impressed by our extensive portfolio of work, sporting clients such as Orphans in Need, Boots, IKCA and many more.
After striking up a number of interesting conversations with potential clients, Fifteen were immediately distracted by none other than the highlight of the event itself…. the buffet; sporting an array of wraps, sandwiches, fresh food and the ultimate people pleaser, the pastries.
Sweet and savory aside the event was a huge success. With businesses all over the East Midlands coming together to bask in each other’s success and in some cases, finding ways to work together.
It was extremely interesting to listen to other businesses and see how they work. We spoke to a fantastic array of businesses from every sector you could think of; all with one thing in common, and that was the need for all things digital. Nearly everyone we spoke to admitted to not updating their site regularly, or weren’t making the most of social media and blogs. They were all keen to find out about our SEO services and take a look at some of our impressive case studies about our most successful SEO clients.
We also spoke to business owners who were looking for a total revamp brand wise, whether this was a brand new logo or a whole new brand identity. They were all impressed with what we had done for our clients in the past, taking them from a business concept, to full-blown brands.
After successfully showcasing all of our fantastic services, the Fifteen team left with a bag full of business cards, a box full of follow-ups and a few sweets that somehow made it back untouched. Until next year LoveBiz!
