The client came to us with a request to bring their website up to date. Their old site had not seen improvement for some time and the user experience suffered as a result. The old site hindered potential customers finding useful information and reduced sales conversions. Fifteen were really looking forward to the task of redesigning and building a new website for Merlin Business Software.
The website design utilises Merlin’s logo and red/grey colour guidelines well, with a distinctive red colour theme on a white, fresh backdrop. The use of iconography and a professional font, makes the whole site come together beautifully. We also employed a similar sitemap to their current site to streamline the process and save MBS time. The new site is clear and easy to navigate propelling this brand into the modern world. With effective use of the hero area, the site flows nicely with blocks and sliders to separate content amongst call to actions, case studies and testimonials.
The site has a customer login area which directs Merlin’s clients to a useful resource area rich with informative PDFs, videos, notes, news and information on the latest MBS updates. The user experience is second to none with numerous contact forms directed towards different customer requirements on the contact page.
This website also has a bespoke drop-down menu area. Headers respond when hovered over showing a sub-menu to finetune the user’s search. This makes it a really aesthetically pleasing experience as the user begins to make their way around the website.
The subtle animation of the images, sliders and buttons all make for an interesting journey through the site; highlighted by strong call to actions (CTAs) such as ‘Request Demo’ in the header and a contact form above the footer of each page. The careful and considered thinking of how the Merlin Business Software customer might want and need to navigate the site is evident in the final product.
