Ollie’s Top 5 Events of 2017

Well, 2017 has certainly been eventful, hasn’t it?

After an absolutely awesome and record-breaking 2016, this year was set to be a challenge for all of us.

We had some pretty big things on the agenda this year, some big boxes to tick. A trip abroad to celebrate the success of the previous year, a potential office move if we could pull it off and yet more growth and high targets for the team, with obviously more reward… Well, you know my style.

We’ve been lucky enough to attract some absolutely fantastic clients this year from a whole host of different sectors – from construction to Christmas – so you’ll have seen some really exciting work being produced from all departments. There’s more to come next year.

But here’s my top 5 most exciting happenings for 2017.

1.IBIZA

The first big event of the year was our family holiday to Ibiza. It was hailed as one of the biggest work outings ever in the history of man and embarrassingly enough I was tagged with the headline in the press: “Is this the UK’s Best Boss?” Well, I guess that’s for the team to decide. For those of you that don’t know the detail, I decided after an epic year to reward all the staff at Fifteen with a 3-day all expenses paid trip to Ibiza. That’s right – flights, accommodation, food and the necessary alcohol, all paid for because of their hard work. Well, it was an epic success and it’s something that we will all remember. I certainly won’t forget it.

2.THE OFFICE MOVE 2017

Well, it took it out of me. Literally, every single ounce of passion and effort I had gone into this new place. For those of you that have had a chance to make it over to our new office in Beeston, we really do hope you like it. As mentioned in the press, it features a Bat Cave, a bar, table tennis, arcade machine, mood lighting, several musical instruments and a vintage Apple Macintosh collection that stems back decades. Not to mention reams of space we now have for us to take Fifteen to the next level of 50+ staff. Yes, that the target – we figure the more of us there are the more we can help our clients.

3.FIFTEEN in 60

That’s the title of our new video, which will be hard-launching in the New Year. It’s essentially a 60-second splash of the 30+ of us in the office and what goes on. There are some pretty exciting bits on the cutting room floor of Sam smashing a guitar (yes, a real guitar), so if you want to see any of this you can catch a few on our socials.

4.GROWTH AWARD

This was a big one for me. We were lucky enough to win the East Midlands Chamber award for ‘Outstanding Growth’. We pride ourselves on many things at Fifteen – the quality of our work, our excellent customer service – and knowing that we have been recognised for our personal growth was overwhelming, especially against some pretty stiff competition.

5.BABY BOBBY

Our Client Services Director, Kate, took some time off this year to have beautiful baby Robert, who regularly shows up in the office. He can be seen playing the arcade machine with me on our Instagram. Start ’em young I say.

MORE TO COME

We’ll get around to it eventually as it’s a classic case of the cobbler’s kids have no shoes. But we’re really close to completion and I can promise you its BANG ON BRAND so you’ll be seeing our new website somewhere in Q1.
