I’ve been developing since I was 14. I started out by reading my mums university books and making plugins (little snippets of code which extend existing functionality) for popular forum software. Eventually after around 2 years I moved on to building my own websites from the ground up, not using any pre-built software, and ever since then I’ve been hooked.
About your role
I’m a Web Developer, before Fifteen I traditionally specialised in back-end development, however at Fifteen I’m honing my front-end skills with the goal of becoming what is considered a ‘full stack’ developer.
I work on a range of projects including; existing websites, fixing issues which arise, improving functionality, creating solutions from scratch, modifying existing software and device based testing to make sure your favourite websites work on mobile, tablets, and desktops.
What have you learnt at Fifteen?
Although I’ve only been at Fifteen for less than a month I’ve learnt more than I could talk about already, and I hope to continue learning every day. That’s one of the most exciting things about web development.
What is rewarding about working for Fifteen?
The fast pace, the way the team all pulls together to finish a project, the whole atmosphere is unlike anywhere else I’ve worked, and it is really satisfying to be a part of this team.
