Raphael Boakye
Web Developer

About you

I recently graduated from University of Derby studying a BSc Hons in Computer Science. During my time at university I undertook a year work placement with a Nottingham based Web Design Agency. I gained a lot valuable experience whilst on placement and decided to pursue a career in web development.

About your role

As a Web Developer I’m responsible for developing new websites for our clients, and maintaining websites with support for existing clients. I work on a wide variety of projects, including brochure websites, e-commerce, and responsive web design. I can work on both the front end and back end of websites, and am also responsible for building the emails for any email marketing campaigns the Digital Marketing team are working on.

What is your favourite project that you’ve worked on?

My favourite project is the one I’m currently working on for Impact flooring. This project has allow me to try new development techniques and further improve my front end development skills. I can’t wait until it’s fully finished and live on the interwebs.

What have you learnt at Fifteen?

We work together at Fifteen, so I’ve managed to learn so much from my co-developers. I didn’t have much experience with the CMS (content management system) that Fifteen build their websites around, so I’ve managed to pick up lots of little things that make building a website easier.

What is rewarding about working at Fifteen?

There are several things that are rewarding about working for Fifteen. Working with like minded people, excellent management, and caring employers. I actually feel like they care about me as a person at Fifteen, and it’s great to work with people that you can get along with.
