NexStor Limited is a data systems integrator specialist in Servers, Data Storage and Management, Backup, Archive and Data Recovery and Virtualisation and Connectivity, and they approached Fifteen to help bring their website up to date and create something interesting and easy for their clients to use.
Creating the Concept
Our biggest challenge with the NexStor website, was to create an interesting concept to carry across the design, this took the shape of a flat graphic style, using different screens of what IT professionals will be able to connect with.
Since the service NexStor provides is so niche, our design team worked hard on understanding the target audience, and working to create a smooth, sleek and modern design to cater for people who want to find information quickly and easily.
The flat graphic style quickly became an element that we could latch onto across the entire website design, creating graphics throughout pages, as well as defining button and layout styles.
Website Design & Development
The complex page structure of the Nexstor site meant that our team had to rigorously plan before creating layouts for the site. Sitemaps and wireframing were at the core of this project, allowing us to lay out the groundwork for the site and make sure it would allow for a clean user journey.
Once the wireframes were confirmed, our earlier conceptual work allows for a painless design flow, using styles laid out from the outset to translate into visually exciting pages.
The header navigation emcompasses two areas of functionality. The first is the search function, which expands the header to reveal the type box. The second is the dropdown menu, where we use iconography to illustrate the 4 categories of Nexstor’s product database.
Although the website does cover a huge range of products, from servers to backups, the main focus of the site was always to convey the service and maintenance from Nexstor. Their key USP is the reliable service and years of combined experience.
Fifteen are overseeing all of NexStor’s digital marketing activity ranging from a paid search campaign on Bing as well as Google, to remarketing for individual vendors such as Nexsan. Our digital marketing team also fully optimised the website with the launch making sure it was fully SEO ready.Back to Case Studies
