Lucy
Senior Designer
What has your best moment been while working at Fifteen?
My greatest moment while working at Fifteen has to be seeing the response from both the client and the rest of the team at Fifteen, to the website and prospectuses I designed for The City of Leicester College. This was the first project I carried out for Fifteen from beginning to end and gave me the opportunity to prove myself.
Why did you become a Graphic Designer and what are the most enjoyable aspects of the job?
I’d always loved drawing and creating things, so becoming a designer was a great way to put these into practice. The work is fast paced and always varying, so there’s something new to create and learn everyday. You get to work on projects that are so precious to a client, such as a new brand and it’s very rewarding when you can design something for them that will change/propel their business.
What’s the most unusual fact about yourself that not a lot of people know?
One that always shocks people is I have an A-Level in Maths.
What would we be likely to bump into you doing at the weekend?
I like discovering new places and enjoying the sunshine. And it’s very likely that I’d be eating, especially cake and ice cream.
What inspires you?
Sunshine and a breath taking view.
My party trick is: I can touch my nose with my tongue
If I was born a boy my parents would have named me: Samuel
My favourite cocktail is: a Pina Colada
If I was in a band, we would be called: I was in a ‘band’ aged 7, we were called ‘The Cool Girls’
I cringe at: people drinking milk
I laugh at: terrible jokes such as ‘what’s green and goes up and down, a pea in a lift’
On my way to work I: sing, really really badly
If I won the lottery, I would: be very surprised as I have never actually played, but would travel and see the world
My guilty pleasure is: 2p machines, I absolutely love them
The best piece of advice I’ve ever had is: do whatever makes you happy
I am never without: my eyeliner
