We are proud to talk about one of the latest projects to leave the Fifteen studio, a brand new website for Bluesource, a specialist IT solution provider based in London.
Bluesource are I.T people, specialising in helping businesses modernise their IT systems listening to their business requirements and delivering the complete service to fulfil their needs.
Focusing on a number of problems that companies may face in the world of IT, they are the company to turn to to make sure that IT works for their clients.
Working in partnership with McDonald Butler, we were tasked to create Bluesource a new dynamic and responsive website, that would help them stand out from their competitors.
After identifying a number of challenges that companies face with IT, we worked with Bluesource and McDonald Butler to draw up a sitemap and website plan of action that would fit the new angle for Bluesource’s marketing.
Being an IT company, we need to make sure that we moved away from the traditional ‘computer’ shutter stock images. After discussing ideas with the team, we presented Bluesource with a range of concepts that would work for them.
Opting for a dynamic, stylistic concept which utilises their colour scheme, we moved forward to create a strong visually appealing website, that allows the user to navigate through the different challenges and find out more information about their IT services and to encourage users to get in touch.
Throughout the website, images are used to either create a talking point for potential new clients who are interested in the service on offer, or to help better demonstrate the nature of the service that is on offer.
Content Management System
Built in WordPress, the website uses the best coding practice and makes it easy for Bluesource to upload and manage content and images across the site. it is also fully scaleable and will respond to all devices and browsers as needed.
While the new website is slick and well built to really focus the user on a journey, making information easy to find, there are a few key areas of the website that make it so special and unique.
Homepage – The new Bluesource homepage uses a 100% height fixed scroll, which delivers information to the user in a dynamic way. Guiding them through the different services, case studies and latest articles, and encouraging them to click through to inner pages as they need to.
Knowledge Hub – The knowledge hub allows Bluesource to upload a range of different categories from blogs to white papers and webinars. The knowledge hub also appears on inner pages, and delivers content that is specific to the page that the user is looking at to give them a complete and tailored experience.
Menu – This website contains two menus, the homepage menu where users can access all areas of the website via the homepage, and the inner menu which appears on all inner pages of the website which allows the user to access pages within the challenge they are looking at or the main menu of the website which appears within another tab.
What They Said
“We love our new website. Traditionally bluesource websites have been flat and static, the new one is dynamic, fresh and engaging, we can really see how we’ll be able to grow our marketing initiatives with the website as the lynch pin – evolving and growing over time with our business. We’ve not been the easiest of clients, and we had a very tight timeline, but the guys over at Fifteen have been partners and advisors during this entire process – rather than a run of the mill “supplier” – advising us on best practice and pushing us to step up our game, the results – an innovative website that’s dragged us tenfold in front of our competitors and a platform that we’re now proud to showcase to the world!” – Isobell Lawrence, Marketing & Alliance Manager, Bluesource
