Fibo’s Stunning New UK Brochure Design

May 31, 2019

Fifteen had a great opportunity to work on a piece of printed material for a Wall Panel company called Fibo.

The Client:

Fibo Wall Panels have been going strong in the UK since 1981. This unique and stylish company offers ways to clad walls in bathrooms, showers and wetroom areas. The decorative panels bring together beauty and practicality providing waterproof and hygienic spaces.

Fibo’s wall panels are manufactured in Norway. With two warehouses in England and Scotland, Fibo panels are offered for sale through a network of stockists and distributors throughout the UK.

Fibo UK Limited believes that businesses are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and operating in a sustainable manner.

Committed to reducing environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of Fibo’s business strategy and operating methods.

Fibo prioritise encouraging their customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same. Not only is this sound commercial sense for all; it is also a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future generations.

They stick to a strict policy which allows their customers and suppliers and all their business associates to stick to:

  • Wholly support and comply with or exceed the requirements of current environmental legislation and codes of practice.
  • Minimise the waste and then reuse or recycle as much of it as possible.
  • Minimise energy and water usage in our buildings, vehicles and processes in order to conserve supplies, and minimise the consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles (where appropriate) with due regard to environmental issues as far as reasonably practical and encourage the use of alternative means of transport and car sharing as appropriate.
  • Apply the principles of continuous improvement in respect of air, water, noise and light pollution from the premises and reduce any impacts from our operations on the environment and local community.
  • As far as possible purchase products and services that do the least damage to the environment and encourage others to do the same.
  • Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce in advance.

Fibo Wall Panels offer so many different colours and patterns allowing you to create a room with personality. Timeless or contemporary, romantic or functional, detailed or plain – the range of moods and styles that can be achieved with their panels are only limited by your imagination.

Installing Fibo Wall Panels gives you more than just quality and high performance. Customers will benefit from cost efficiencies when compared to traditional tiling due to quicker and more efficient installation as well as considerable time saved on the ongoing minimal cleaning and maintenance requirements.

What I love about Fibo is that they are a proud ‘green company’. I’m really interested to hear that large companies such as Fibo are reducing their carbon footprints to deal with the all too real problems we face.

What We Did:

So to start off, Fibo came to us and wanted to be wowed with a new UK brochure. Both Ollie and myself went to Buckinghamshire where the UK head office is based. We had a very productive meeting mapping out the content they wanted to be included in the brochure. From the start, we wanted to them to stand out and by doing so we felt that having an A3 brochure would make them memorable.

This made for a lasting impression and set them apart from their competitors.

All content was readily available and the task was not an easy one, due to the sheer number of swatches they needed to show. But the client was very helpful in guiding what was needed to be seen within the brochure. As we were designing a brochure for the UK market we needed to make sure that the swatches showcased were available in the UK.

After a few meetings, we cracked the code and came up with a way to stand out from their competitors. We would design a brochure that would be A3 – folded out to A2. This would give them the wow factor they wanted.

I wanted to make a statement of their categories pages, Scandinavian, Timeless, Signature, Contemporary, Luxury Feature Panels and Kitchen Splashbacks. Therefore with this, I felt placing the title of the category running through the image created an effective image. By intertwining the text within the image we created a compelling design. The large bold letters are placed in the centre of the image and most of the lettering would seem to be on a different layer. This creatively mixes geometry, typography and texture to produce a design that stands out.

The Results:

I loved creating this brochure and it truly is one of the best pieces of work that I have created. The print quality is on point and emphasises the power of the design too.

The team at Fibo have been a pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with them in the future.

Watch this space, they have a brand new website being designed, but for now, you will be able to see their brochure design.

The brochure came out as we expected and the client was over the moon with the finished product and showed their appreciation with a lovely review

Here is some lovely feedback from the client:

“I looked at several agencies before selecting Fifteen – they just seemed so ‘on it’, and their experience spoke for itself. From the first meeting with Ollie and Stephan, we felt sure we’d make the right decision. They understood exactly what we wanted, and throughout the project, Stephan could not have done more to help us – always upbeat and friendly with great ideas, he was also infinitely patient! The final result – which is a printed product brochure – is wowing everyone! We are very happy customers, and would definitely recommend.”
