Fifteen are proud to announce the launch of the latest website to leave the studio for Foremarke Hall, Repton Preparatory School, which launched on the 6th November 2017.
About Foremarke Hall
Foremarke Hall aims to provide the highest possible standard of teaching and learning to its students, they offer a broad range of co-curricular and extra-curricular experience which is mind-blowing, and it is all set in an amazing 50-acre grounds of an 18th century Palladian Hall where the children can play and learn and explore.
The school is a day and boarding prep school, teaching and caring for children from the ages of 3 to 13, and offer a broad and balanced education to allow children to grow into themselves and enjoy the whole learning experience.
The Task
Fifteen’s task was to move the existing website into a system where the team at Foremarke Hall could easily manage the content across the site, making the system more flexible for them, and allowing them to have a platform that could be expanded on.
We were challenged by taking the existing design and making key updates to improve the look and feel of the website, bringing it more in line with modern web trends, with the aim to focus on user experience moving forward and developing the site further over time.
The Website
A school with such history and passion for education, we knew we needed to keep the design true to the school’s well-known colou
or-scheme and brand, but inject some life into the site.
We started to do this by opting to edit together a video for the main header of the website, using a video which is complied with clips of the school, children and teachers captures the essence of what the school is about, with their strapline straight across the middle of the video, rather than sat at the bottom hidden away.
We’ve opened up the websites inner pages completely, dropping the boxed layout, an option for a clean header with title overlay, a single sidebar which the admins can add to and control with ease, with nice little animations were suitable to assist with the delivery of the content.
We’ve implemented our custom HTML and CSS into WordPress CMS, an open source content management system that around 28% of the world’s websites use.
The website uses the best coding practice and makes it really easy for Foremarke Hall to upload and manage content and images across the site, it is also fully scalable and will respond to all devices and browsers as needed.
