Creating Outstanding Opportunities for David Ross Education Trusts New Website

February 8, 2017

The David Ross Education Trust was founded in 2010 and has grown from strength to strength in the last 7 years. We are really proud to announce the launch of the new David Ross Education Trust website!

About David Ross Education Trust

The David Ross Education Trust (DRET) is a network of academies across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside and the East of England, they also have a free school which will open in the Olympic Park in London in September this year! The Trust has 33 academies in total and is continuing to expand at a rapid rate, with the aim to become the country’s leading group of academics.

DRET focuses on 3 key areas – Academic Excellence, Strong Community and Outstanding Opportunities allowing the students and staff to get the most out of their time with the Trust.

The Task

After approaching Fifteen in November last year, we were set the task of getting the new DRET website up and running by early 2017. The new website had to be creative, but demonstrate key statistics and information required by Ofsted and stakeholders of the Trust, allow enough information for potential students to get a feel for what their time at one of DRET’s academies would be like, and attract new staff members to join the DRET team.

The Website

With a great library of images, stats and information to work from, we were able to produce a design that fits modern web trends but stays true to the Trusts core message and mission. Utilizing the image bank that was available to us, we were able to create some that was visual, engaging and inspiring for those looking at the website, encouraging them to read more about the Trust, and engage with them – whether that be signing up for a newsletter, applying for a job or enquiring about a place within one of the academies.

The site is built using best practice web development techniques, utilising delivery of content and information to ensure that the site is interesting and engaging. The website is fully responsive, meaning that those opting to view the site on their mobile will have a great experience as those looking on a desktop. All the content is fully editable via a CMS system, and the DRET marketing team can edit the website at any time.

We are really excited to see where the DRET team take the new website, and can’t wait to see where it takes them!

What They Said

“Producing a website that is compliant with a raft of legal requirements, meets the needs of multiple stakeholders and is still user-friendly is not straightforward.”
“Fifteen quickly understood what we needed and became part of our in-house team.  They worked collaboratively and added real value in how we approached every aspect of the project.
“We are really pleased with the end product. I have every confidence that it will play a significant impact on how the Trust is perceived.”

– Ben Peck, Head Of Communications, David Ross Education Trust
