JTD Building Supplies are a Yorkshire based building material supplier who provides products ranging from plaster and loft insulation, landscaping materials, tools and workwear and bespoke specialist materials to suit all projects. Situated across different locations in the beautiful county of Yorkshire, JTD building supplies are your one-stop shop for anyone from construction firms to trade customers and DIY experts.
Our task was to modernise JTD’s website making it look fresh, clean and bang up to date with a simple and clear UX journey for the customer. We needed to ensure we showcased JTD’s products in the best possible way to help retain existing clients and gather new leads for the business.
JTD’s brand colours were subtly laced throughout the site for headers, CTA buttons and icons and this is one of the website’s huge pulls. With a simple search area and clear CTAs in the header and a strong opening hero line to pull the customer in, we wanted to ensure customers were instantly delighted by the products on offer by showcasing these in a slider area on the home page. With simple lifestyle product photography and a short summary of text to entice the user, we then directed the user to navigate to where they needed to be instantly with useful links to ‘Find out more’.
The product pages are all consistent block sections with attractive photos overlaid on the brand colours and simple informative paragraphs of text to explain the product offering.
The website retains its local, trusted and friendly appeal through the choice use of words in the headers and copy. JTDs USPs are simply and clearly defined on the homepage to reinforce the service JTD will provide to their customers.
The JTD Management team wanted to reinforce their friendly approach and did so by using photographs of themselves in the hero area on the About page, followed by clean and professional shots of the full JTD team.
The products slider is featured on every page across the site to provide the user with strong accessibility to the full JTD product range. The search functionality also allows the user to be one step closer to where they want to be.
This project was a joy to work on with Tony (Managing Director), the launch went smoothly at Fifteen HQ and Tony and team were delighted with the final website.
