About Severns Rental
Severns specialise in providing students the best accommodation Nottingham city centre has to offer, their recent developments have resulted in two brand new modern, purpose-built residences called Newland House and Newtown House located around Maid Marian Way.
Severns, offer first class, luxury accommodation for Nottingham students, giving them a safe and secure environment to live and study in. They also have a great range of benefits for students who are lucky enough to bag themselves a room within the buildings.
After a failed relationship with another agency, Severns approached Fifteen to help bring their vision of first-class and luxury living to life. This included creating a brand, a website which allows the Severns team to list rooms and take deposits and a marketing campaign to run alongside the website launch.
Severns’ were looking for a brand that went against the stereotypical image of branding for students. They were looking for a logo design that would stand out in this market as different and reflect their luxury appeal.
The new logo comprises of three elements that come together to provide a strong memorable brand. The use of a traditional font gives a luxurious feel, teamed with the simple san serif font used for the strap line to give a modern twist.
The elegant device that sits alongside reflects the luxury, upmarket living they are providing and can also be used alone to promote the brand where appropriate across a range of marketing materials including signage.
To finish the luxurious look, a navy and gold colour scheme was given to the logo which would be carried throughout all branding.
Severns’ wanted a website that was user-friendly, and interactive, allowing potential residents to enquire and/or place a deposit for their preferred rooms. Utilising the classy brand and colour scheme, the website flows extremely well, using key elements of the logo within background images to really bring the luxury feel into the website.
The website is fully responsive, and uses best-web practice and guidelines, and teamed up with excellent photography of the rooms themselves, the website is really brought to life.
With a range of rooms and development buildings on offer, students of Nottingham have a great choice of luxury accommodation to choose from, with great benefits from local businesses for living there as well! Individual property listings have specific property details, including the standard price per week, square foot, and property features (which include WiFI, Laundry Room, Satellite TV, Games & Social Area and Gym).
The Marketing Campaign
Fifteen built a PPC campaign around luxury student accommodation, highlighting their main USPs to ensure we were attracting the correct demographic of students. We also built a Google Sponsored Promotions campaign targeting specific websites such as Nottingham University, as well as competitors using their imagery through different ads. The campaign is due to run for 3 months, and we look forward to seeing the results that it generates.
Who Worked on the Project?
Ollie Piddubriwnyj – Managing Director
Taking the initial enquiry, Ollie worked closely with the client from the start to understand their requirements and objectives from the project, before passing it on to the rest of the team.
Sophie Kish – Digital Producer
Leading the project, Sophie worked alongside Michelle, Mikey and Adam to build, populate and test the website according to the clients specification and needs.
Michelle Moss – Lead Designer
Michelle’s experience with user-journey allowed her to design a website that would complement Lucy’s brand, and work for the user and the client.
Lucy Goodwin – Designer
Lucy designed the Severns brand and worked closely with Ollie and the client to create a brand that was relevant and oozed luxury.
Mikey Burton – Web Developer
Mikey took Michelle’s designs and brought the Severns website to life, building in the functionality for the client to list properties, take deposit bookings, taking into consideration user journey and experience at all times.
Adam Richmond – SEO & Content Executive
Adam performed the onsite optimisation of the website, alongside the campaigns, and set up conversion tracking within Google Analytics so that we can monitor conversions made through the website.
Natalie built and set-up the PPC and GSP campaigns to run alongside the website launch, Natalie’s experience and expertise with PPC allows her to create a campaign that will grow and work with Severns needs and demands. Keeping the client updated with the results of the campaigns running.
