We work in a variety of different industries here at Fifteen Design and we’re always keen to branch out in to new arenas, particularly when we really like the business idea. So we were really pleased when we were approached by Nicky Kramanali to help with the brand and website for her new company Intolerance Intelligence.
Both of Nickys young children suffer from food intolerances and the business idea was born from them not being able to eat out as a family due to not being able to find restaurants that cater for food intolerances. The main role of the company is to educate, train and accredit restaurants, schools and anywhere else that sells food, on the importance of catering for those with food allergies and intolerances and of course raise awareness. Nicky entered a “Dragons Den” style competition at The University of Nottingham and won an investment to enable her to launch the company as she wanted.
We started with the brand and wanted to find something that worked as a device to act as a stamp of approval for the accreditation side of the business. We used a plate design with a tick to represent the fact that the restaurant carries the Intolerance Intelligence accreditation. We then used this theme to roll out across the website, making it easily navigable and nice and colourful to give clear sections of the site. The CMS system we built enables the site to be updated regularly and gives the ability to add more and more restaurants and menus as the company grows.
We really enjoyed working on this project and think that Intolerance Intelligence is a great idea so watch this space!
