We’re delighted to learn the news that the website we designed and built for our client Hidepark has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Shopping’ category at this year’s Website of the Year awards.
Fifteen entered Hidepark into the competition as a wildcard, which is open to any website that has over 5000 unique visitors a month. A maximum of five wildcards can be named as nominees for the category, so to be in the final five is quite an achievement!
Hidepark are an established and respected leather garment manufacturer and distributor based in the UK. With over 40 stockists across the UK and Ireland, their website is an additional tool to accommodate online sales of their high quality garments at competitive prices. Hidepark controls the quality, design and costings of each of their products giving them the edge over their competitors and ensuring that all of their garments are bespoke and own branded.
Since the website was launched in October 2015, Hidepark has seen a 162% increase in organic visitor sessions and the website bounce rate has decreased by 29%. This has led to an 87% increase in organic revenue generated by the website and a 108% increase in website conversions.
“Hidepark is a great case study for our user experience website design, seamless e-commerce development and results driven digital marketing skills. This nomination sees both the client’s and Fifteen’s hard work rewarded by being officially recognised by industry professionals within the market sector.” Natalie Crouch, Digital Marketing Manager.
The Hidepark website has been named as a finalist in the ‘Shopping’ category alongside high street and online shopping giants such as Amazon, Argos, ASDA, eBay, Gumtree, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. Other names on the list include HotUKDeals, The Idle Man, The Workplace Depot and Kate’s Clothing.
The public vote for Website of the Year 2016 begins on 3rd October and will close on 11th November. This year 228 websites have been nominated as finalists in the competition across 19 categories. There are two awards per category, one is for the ‘Most Popular Website’ as voted for by the public and awarded to the website with the highest number of votes. The second is for ‘Best Website’ that is awarded to the website with the best average assessment from the public vote. There is also an overall winner for the ‘Website of the Year’ award selected from the best-rated category winners.
Voting is simple. Visitors go to the Website of the Year shortlist page, choose a category, select their favourite website, rate the website out of 5 stars for user experience and then confirm their vote by email response.
Last year at the Website of the Year awards, two of our charity websites for Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) and Orphans in Need were wildcard finalists in the ‘Charities’ category, with IKCA finishing as the runner-up for ‘Most Popular Website’. We hope that we can rely on your fantastic support again to vote for our websites next month.
