The results are in and we can reveal that the Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) website has achieved second place for ‘Most Popular Charity Website’ in this year’s Website of the Year Awards!
Fifteen were delighted to have two websites (IKCA and Orphans in Need) selected as ‘wildcard’ finalists in the awards, sitting alongside popular well known charities including RSPCA, Oxfam, Cancer Research UK, MacMillan, NSPCC, RSPB, UNICEF, JustGiving and National Migraine Centre. This alone was a fantastic achievement for both of the charities, and ourselves, so we were thrilled to be involved in the voting finals.
The awards were decided by votes generated by supporters across all of the categories. Supporters voted out of five for the design, content, navigation and recommendation intention of each finalist website. In each category, the website with the most votes received the ‘Most Popular Website’ title and the website with the highest average score was given the ‘Best Website’ title.
This year saw 227 websites nominated for the awards across 19 categories, with over 119,000 votes cast.
There were 5,686 votes in the Charity category with the IKCA website receiving 747, ranking it in second place for the ‘Most Popular Website’ award, narrowly missing out to National Migraine Centre who took both of the prizes in our category.
“We are really proud of the score averages for both the IKCA and Orphans in Need websites. Both performed well across the board with particularly great results in the design vote. There was an overwhelming amount of votes for the IKCA website bearing in mind it had only launched this summer. It’s a fantastic achievement for the Fifteen team and we’re really happy that the charities are receiving the extra publicity.” – Ollie Piddubriwnyj, Managing Director of Fifteen.
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for our websites.
