The Becket School

Fifteen worked with The Becket School to design and build their new school website.

With our vast experience of school website design across the UK, we knew that we could work with The Becket School to deliver a website that would appeal to both students and parents as well as fulfill government required standards for the education sector.

The Becket School

Aims & Ambitions

The Becket School wanted a website that would showcase their facilities and set them apart from other schools in the area. A school website design that would be future-proof and grow with the school.

We wanted to ensure that the school website design was bright, eye-catching and easy to navigate. We’ve ensured this by including a bold icon led secondary navigation to key areas of the website. This makes it quick and easy for visitors to find the information they require.

Aims & Ambitions

Web Design

We’ve introduced an element of parallax technology to the website by including a scrolling navigation page that follows the user down the page and also quick link side blocks that hang from the top of the page.

There are several interactive features on the website, these include an events calendar, a social media wall, latest news blog and video wall.

The blocky navigation helps the user to moves through the pages of the website easily as each section has a lot of information held within it. We’ve also added an interesting and unique curriculum area in the school website design and composed of several coloured blocks that link through to individual subjects. The subject pages have their information spread across 3 tabs to separate the Key Stage Learning areas.

We’ve create a school website design for The Becket School that is responsive giving the user the full website experience on whatever mobile device they are using to view the website. This will be ideal for students looking for online learning on the website using their smart phones or tablets as well as parents accessing the latest news when they’re on the go.

Design for Print

We further worked with The Becket School on their new school prospectus design, to bring them up to date and ensure all their school marketing and printed materials are in line with the new school website.

Expanding upon the prospectus, we also created several more corportate literature pieces including the Parent Handbook and Sixth Form Booklet.

Development

After the successful launch of their website and design for print, we have worked closely with The Becket School to develop the facilities throughout their website.

We have developed a system for booking and paying for school trips within the website. This function allows parents to make regular payments at their leisure to fund the trip, rather than having to pay set instalments.

There is also a new feature that allows users to book the facilities, such as sports pitches, online. This complex system is bespoke to The Becket as it allows time slots to be allocated freely and also gives the option to book a half area.

Aside from the digital elements, The Becket School have also invested in a new outdoor signage which we designed and commissioned.
